This week’s Fade Friday comes courtesy of Rawr Denim forum user GeneralCortex. GC, as his posts are signed, has worn this pair of Naked & Famous Elephant 2 22oz. jeans sporadically over the last 18 months and the result, a fully broken in pair of heavyweight denim, has a ton of character.
As is often the case when dabbling in heavy weight denim, GC’s pair of Canadian made denim sports a host of small tears in a variety of locations including the pocket bag. Numerous reinforcing and repair jobs were required to keep them wearable in public.
A personal highlight of GC’s fades are the multiple different personalities this pair has assumed. Deeply contrasted honeycombs and whiskers sit just underneath a relatively washed out rear section, whilst down below we see a rich indigo hue in place of the usual stacking.
