Have you ever noticed how all the North American shoemakers tend to congregate around the 45th parallel of latitude? You’ve got Alden, Quoddy, and Rancourt in New England; Russell Moccasin, Wolverine, and Red Wing in the Midwest; and Viberg, Nick’s, White’s, and Wesco in the Pacific Northwest. Those in the freeze belt know how to keep their feet warm.

Such is the case with the latest collab from Wesco; their Packhorse boot combines a roughout leather high upper with a Vibram 700 ridged sole on stitchdown construction for retail newcomer, Division Road. The packer style was originally used by Army soldiers in the late 1800s, but was soon adopted by ranchers, who have maintained the style to its current state.

You can find it for $645 at Division Road.
