There’s high-contrast, sharp fades, and then there’s that vintage kind, the kind that don’t call attention to themselves or come off as too flashy. Today’s Fade of the Day is a perfect example: this pair of Stevenson Overall Co. 714 Valencia has lots of nice, subtle fading and plenty of character thanks to its many repairs.
These jeans come to us from Kris Foster of San Francisco, and in less than a year he’s given these jeans plenty of wear. Repairs, done by both Self Edge and his mom, include a reinforced crotch, reinforced button eyelets, darning on the cuff, and a reinforced pocket bag and pockets. Oh, did we mention they have some nice whiskers and honeycombs too? Here’s hoping these jeans hold together so we can check them out next year!
