Filson‘s been known for many things. Tin cloth, bridle leather, and tough twill all occupy their usual wheelhouse, but their latest collection sees them venturing to even rougher territory with their Roughout Weatherproof Suede Bag Collection.
They throw around a lot of different terms like ‘rugged suede,’ ‘roughout boot leather,’ and ‘weatherproof suede’. Not sure about the obviously marketed ‘weatherproof roughout’ copy as roughout leather is already a rugged material anyway, but the collection is handsome regardless.
As is Filson’s m.o., these pieces are made to be thrashed and to last. A backpack, tote, and pouch comprise the collection and are likely to become classics. The collection ranges from $100 to $750 and it’s available at Filson.
